L. G. Hart

I’m L. G. Hart, a children’s book author dedicated to nurturing imagination and empathy through storytelling. My mission is to create books that help children feel seen, inspired, and loved. I’m also a mother of four, and so much of what I write is shaped by the everyday moments of helping little ones navigate big feelings — and the moments when I had to figure out what they needed before they had the words to tell me. Those experiences continue to guide my storytelling, reminding me how powerful gentle language, patience, and connection can be.

With a Master’s in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor’s in Exceptional Student Education from Nova Southeastern University, I bring both heart and expertise to my writing. My years as a teacher, Assistant Principal, and Principal have shown me the power of stories to spark curiosity, build confidence, and encourage kindness.

Through Books of Hart, I craft gentle, inclusive tales filled with symbolic settings and nurturing themes. Each story is designed to resonate with young readers while offering parents and educators meaningful tools for connection. My goal is to create a reading experience that feels like a safe space—where imagination blooms and empathy grows.

Beyond the page, I’m passionate about building a warm, professional author brand that reaches families, schools, and communities. Whether through school visits, podcasts, or digital storytelling, I strive to make every interaction memorable and heart‑centered.
